Based on one of the Pompeian drawings illustrated in Owen Jones's The Grammar of Ornament, this bed set is elegantly decorated with details of the ancient Grecian and Roman mosaics, studied by Jones during the 19th century. Printed on pure cotton, repeating graphic motifs in two scales are coloured in teal blue tones with burnished gold contrasts. The reverse is a small scale co-ordinating graphic print in pale grey.
