Case includes: Product information: Château Croix de Labrie , Vintage:2014, A limited edition Saint-Emilion from one of the region’s smallest grand cru estates, opulent and complex with rich fruit notes., About this bottle:Owned by the Courdurie family, who have updated the estate’s winery and cellars over recent years, Croix De Labrie is a tiny château in the right-bank Saint-Emilion appellation. Comprising just 2.3 hectares of vineyards (planted to 98% Merlot vines – mostly around 40 years of age), the estate benefits from favourable sandy-clay soils. In keeping with its small size, Croix De Labrie employ special ‘micro-vinification’ techniques. Winemaking consultants Jean Luc Thunevin and Michel Rolland have cuvées vinified entirely in small oak barrels, allowing a ‘wilder’, more natural character to develop. The wines are typically finished in new French oak barrels for around 18 months. Croix De Labrie 2014 has an expressive, fruity bouquet followed by an opulent palate offering ripe plum and cherry flavours over deeper spice complexities.
