Case includes: Product information: Château Cos d’Estournel , Vintage:2014, A dense and silky 2nd Growth St-Estéphe with a luxuriously complex style that will reward careful ageing for many years to come., About this bottle:Established in 1811, Château Cos d’Estournel was one of the first Bordeaux estates to bottle and sell its own wines, going on to have a long and illustrious history. The estate lies in the south of St-Estéphe along the border of Pauillac, its 85 hectare vineyard sitting on a long south-facing clay ridge with a high gravel content. The word ‘cos’ is actually from old Gascon, meaning ‘hill of pebbles’. The vines are 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc. Winemaking at Château Cos d’Estournel is very labour intensive and carried out in a tailor-made new facility of a design that’s completely unique to the property. Manager Jean-Guillaume Prats achieves a very pure wine style though minimal intervention, low temperatures and a gentle, gravity-fed process. Dense, with excellent richness and an exotic edge, Château Cos d’Estournel 2014 is still very young and will reward years of further cellar maturation.
