Many of today’s popular cushion shaped timepieces trace their lineage to the 1920’s when shaped cases, rather than rounds were de rigueur amongst the fashionable dandy’s of the time. Our Clarendon collection marries a contemporary 39mm case and modern Swiss self-winding movement with the timelessly elegant designs found in our archives. The stainless steel case is a delightful combination of satin and polished surfaces that add character and interest to this intriguing design. The dial sports a purposeful “dagger shaped” faceted hands matched equally with similarly pointed hour markers embraced by a minute track that circles the dial and begins and ends with a prominent “12” at the top of the dial. The date is a useful addition and provides a practical function to an otherwise sophisticated design for the modern day dandy.
