Montblanc introduces the new automatic Montblanc Caliber MB 24.23 with an in-house developed twin-counter manufacture complication. The result is a refined and highly functional timepiece of harmonious proportions and timeless sophistication. One of the most useful complications, the date function is indicated on this model in a subdial, rather than the more traditional date aperture. The size of the counter has been maximized to enable a clear reading of the graduating dates, while a blued-steel date hand provides excellent visibility. The date counter is balanced by a small-seconds subdial at 9 o’clock, with a blued-steel hand and a red ‘60’ numeral, creating perfect color harmony across the dial. The inclusion of a second function further reinforces Montblanc’s respect for precision and its passion for elegant design that is at the heart of this collection. The applied red gold-plated sword hands and indexes as well as the Arabic 6 and 12 deliver an effective yet sophisticated contrast to the silvery-white sunray-finished dial and to the slim 40 mm case made of stainless steel. With a height of only 9.85 mm and rounded, curved horns as well as a satin-finished bezel border, the case underlines the Swiss fine watchmaking traditions embodied by the Montblanc Heritage collection.
