Made possible by the masses, Yooka-Laylee was funded on Kickstarter in June 2015 after it raised an impressive £2.1 million from more than 80,000 backers. The game introduces youngsters to a new world in which the hero duo Yooka (green ones) and Laylee (purple ones) are on a mission to stop Capital B from succeeding in absorbing all the world's books to convert them into profit. They have to solve a number of puzzles and platforming challenges, while they hunt for Pagies. These rewards will let them unlock new worlds and discover new characters, arcade games, quiz shows and multi-player games.
