Slightly Mad Studios' contemporary motorsport simulator is off to a flying start; Project Cars 2 won the ‘Best Simulation Game' at Gamescom 2017, which is no surprise considering the studio actively encouraged feedback from their fans, worked closely with auto manufacturers, Red Bull Global Rallycross drivers Mitchell deJong and Oliver Eriksson, as well as laser scanning many circuits. Having listened to fans, this hardcore racer sequel allows beginners to join in and play without feeling intimidated, however with over 180 cars from 38 manufacturers, along with a variety of race car classes, there's plenty for more experienced gamers to get their teeth stuck into. The new LiveTrack 3.0 game physics engine provides realistic track conditions throughout your racing. Additionally, weather conditions will change depending on the season, so prepare for hail and snow in winter, then patchy sun and rain in spring. If you take your racing seriously, you'll be pleased to read that Project Cars 2 has developed the online mode too - there's now a focus on E-sports, featuring better matchmaking, along with online championships and adding an online ranking system as well. Please note: a PlayStation Plus membership is required to access online multiplayer on the PS4.
