Get closer to your subject A dedicated macro function and minimum focusing distance of 22 cm makes the 17-70 mm ideal for close-up photography. A Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) ensures quiet focusing, ideal when capturing small insects. For sharp, blur-free images, the 17-70 mm incorporates Sigma's Optical Stabiliser (OS) which offers effective correction of approximately 4 stops to counter camera shake even during macro photography.
