This bean-to-bar chocolate is our tribute to the purity of real chocolate. The Raw Amazonico Criollo cacao beans used to make this bar is grown by the Asháninka community. The Asháninka live in one of the most bio diverse regions in the world - the Ene River basin in the Peruvian Amazon, the place where cacao originated. This type of cacao is an aromatic heirloom variety; it takes on characteristics of the Peruvian Amazon in which it is grown. The fair trade certified evaporated nectar used in this bar comes from the blossom of the coconut palm tree.
