The iconic architecture of one of UK's historic cities is the subject of this delightful illustration by British artist Julia Gash. This digital print of Cambridge comes with a wall mount and is printed on paper and card. Julia Gash is a Sheffield based artist with a great love and understanding of print. Julia learnt her current craft and expertise in printmaking throughout her childhood, helping in her father's print and signwriting business in Nottingham. Her qualifications include a BA in Visual Communications, Post Graduate Diploma in Printmaking from Central St. Martins, and PGCE from Middlesex University. Today Julia is also the founder and CEO of BIDBI (bag it don't bin it), which produces branded cloth bags. She is also the Chief Designer and talent scout for Talented: an ethically-focused and sustainable fashion accessories brand, which she launched in 2012 and which collaborates with emerging designers on a seasonal rotation. Julia's passions are art and travel. Her cityscapes fuse these two loves as they depict places around the world seen through her eyes. Drawn in a naïve style, her interest in architectural detail and the shape and character of a building is an honest, playful and unique interpretation of the world we live in. Her map-like drawings describe the character of a specific place and within that, the individuality of a building. A cyclist with a hat can be found in all of her prints and this little man symbolises Julia, travelling around the world through her drawings.
