Part decorative object, part toy, these wooden dolls were originally created by Alexander Girard- one of the leading figures of postwar American design. Girard had a passion for the folk art of South America and these decorative pieces were inspired by Girard's own extensive collection of folk art. Based on originals found in the Girard Estate held by the Vitra Design Museum, the assortment of dolls, both joyful yet somewhat severe are unique, decorative pieces for any interior.
