Once we have accepted your order and checked the fabric is in stock you should receive your custom-made item/s within 7 days. Measuring up for curtains: For the best possible fit, take time to measure your window carefully. We suggest using a metal tape measure for accuracy. The first step is to decide if you want your curtains to hang from a track or a pole, both of which should be positioned 15cm (6 inches) above the window and extend 15-20cm (6-8 inches) either side. We advise fitting the track or pole before taking measurements. Measuring width: Measure the total width of the track or pole (excluding the finials) - do not measure the window unless it is wall-to-wall. Also allow for overlap - this is an additional measurement, normally 2.5cm (1 inch), which ensures the hanging curtains to overlap in the middle when they are closed. Measuring curtain drop: Before measuring the drop, decide whether you want your curtains to fall to the sill, below the sill or to the floor. For information, see the image thumbnails 4-5 above. Roman blinds You can also order this fabric as a made-to-measure roman blind. You can customise your selection with alternative mechanisms and cord positioning. For options, see the image thumbnail 6 above. To order roman blinds, please call 0845 610 0356 with your window measurements and preferred options to hand. Once we've accepted your order and checked the fabric is in stock you should receive your custom-made item/s within 7 days. Measuring up for roman blinds: Use a metal tape measure and make a note of your measurements to the nearest millimetre. Measuring a blind inside a window recess: Make sure the recess your blind is going into is not obstructed in any way, so the blind can hang freely when fully extended. The depth of the recess should be at least 75mm (3 inches) to accommodate the operating mechanism. Measure the total width from A to B and the length from C to D (see image 7). To allow for slight variation, measure this width at several points and make a note of the narrowest
