DrillMake sure to check there is no wiring or services before you drill. Mark out your centre line for where you want to install your GripIt, and then drill the required holes in the plasterboard using the correct sized GripIt hole cutter or a flat drill bit. 2. TapPosition the fixing in the hole, the end with the metal wings first, and gently tap it into the hole squarely until it settles flush with the wall surface. Please ensure that when you place the fixing in the hole, that the fitting is as shown right. This gives maximum strength when the wings are opened. 3. Turn Lock the fixing into position by using a flat screwdriver and turning the central screwdriver slot clockwise. To remove the fixing simply screw counter-clockwise. 4. Which Screw should I use?GripIt® is designed to accept screws of various lengths provided that the tip of the screw, when fully inserted, does not make contact with solid material within the wall space. To determine the maximum length of screws, measure the thickness of the item to be secured to the wall and then add a minimum of 15 to 20mm for GripIt® threading.
