Moomins are lovable and happy little creatures that live in the Moominvalley. The Moomins share a straightforward approach to life. They live in harmony with nature in the blue Moominhouse, surrounded by a clear and narrow river which flows down from the mountains nearby. All sorts of exciting things happen around Moominvalley. In addition to the Moomins, the valley is inhabited by mymbles, hemulens, fillyjonks and all kinds of small toffles and whompers. This mug has been issued to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the publication of the first Moomin book by author Tove Janssen, in 1945. It shows the Moomins in their natural habitat of the Moominvalley, and features the beloved characters going about their daily business - blowing bubbles, causing mischief, and enjoying the fresh mountain air.
