It was produced by a cooperative of local vignerons, established in 1961 when the growers of the two villages came together to take control of their own winemaking. Now with 25 grower/makers covering 250 hectares of vineyards, the co-op has gone from strength to strength and is today producing very serious Loire Sauvignon Blancs. The co-op’s technical director, Agnès Bardet, has worked with the growers for 20 years ago and has gotten to know each vineyard in detail.
