The Fay vineyard was acquired by Warren Winiarski, founder of Stag's Leap Wine Cellars in 1986, and its fruit has come to define the winery's plush, powerful style of Cabernet. This example has spent 24 months in 70%-new French oak. Starting with generous aromas of violets, blackberry, nutmeg and liquorice, the aromas are followed by an alluring mix of dark fruit flavours that envelop the palate with accent notes of chocolate and vanilla.
