On the 1st March 1965, Omega's Speedmaster chronograph was flight qualified by NASA for all manned space missions. An impressive representation of the brand's adventurous pioneering spirit, this Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch is one of Omega's most iconic timepieces. Designed to stand apart from other chronographs, this Moonwatch Professional is presented on a fine brushed and polished stainless steel three row bracelet, and features a 42mm stainless steel case with black bezel and tachymeter scale. Covered with hesalite crystal, which was originally specified by NASA due to its resistance to shattering on impact, the distinctive black dial remains true to the original and is graced with a small seconds subdial, 30-minute recorder and 12-hour recorder along with a central chronograph hand. Water resistant to 50m, this beautiful watch is powered by the famous manual-winding Omega Calibre 1861 mechanical movement which, apart from its high-grade rhodium plated finish, remains unchanged since it set foot on the moon in 1969. A beautifully designed and expertly crafted timepiece, this Moonwatch Professional is presented in a special Moonwatch presentation box which contains a fabric NATO strap, Velcro strap, a tool to change the bracelet and a book highlighting the Speedmaster's pioneering adventures. 311.30.42.30.01.005
