The beautiful 9ct yellow gold brooch is inspired by Whitby's fishing heritage. There is even a street in Whitby called 'The Ropery' which is lined with tall buildings originally used to make long pieces of rope for the ship-building industry. The brooch fastens with a horizontal bar pin.
