The Eterna 1942 Pulsometer is both a striking timepiece and functional medical instrument, initially designed as an aid for doctors and nurses for measuring the pulse rate of patient. It uses a scale on the outer dial coupled with the sweep of the chronograph hand, to accurately judge a pulse rate. The pattern of the dial and the green Arabic markers are faithful to the original design of the watch, which now houses an automatic movement with a 42 hour power reserve.
