our feliz shirt is made from pure silk and designed exclusively for east by neeru kumar. the lined pattern is created by hand using the shibori clamping technique. similar to tie dye 'shibori' is the japanese term for dying a pattern into fabric. to make this shirt the silk is folded in a pattern and clamped with wooden blocks before being dyed. the fabric under the wooden clamps is untouched by the dye creating this geometric pattern. this lightweight shirt has three quarter sleeves and a single breast pocket.
